Kingdom: Animalia (140 species)

In this section, you will find the list of species that will be affected by the Ametller Origen macroproject, either directly or indirectly.

Of the 140 affected species, 90 are protected species from theCatalogue of threatened fauna of Catalonia.

These species may be affected in various ways, the most severely affected will be those that require the currently existing habitat to develop any aspect of their biology, whether it be feeding, reproducing, or interacting with the environment. Among these, we could particularly highlight theBonelli's Eagleand theEurasian Eagle-Owl, some species of bats, theSouthern Green Lizardand theOcellaris Lizard, among others.

There will also be some species that do not use the affected area directly, but are also related to it and will be affected by anthropogenic pressure, the intensive use of roads, as well as by the blue route that the macroproject also wants to use as an entryway to the site. In this context, we can highlight theOtter, theLittle Ringed Ploverand theStream Turtle.

Lastly, some species have also been added that have not been observed, but due to their general distribution and the habitat in which they are normally found, it is highly likely that we could observe them, such as theEuropean hedgehog, theMustelaand the Ibero-Provençal lizard, among others.

In the videos (11 minutes and 7 minutes long) you can see some of the wildlife captured by camera traps located in the area over the last few months.
